Glasgow Girls Gain Awards

Posted on 08. Dec, 2011 by in News

On Tuesday 6th December at Hampden Park Glasgow Girls FC were awarded the SFA’s “Community” award, which is the gold award. It has taken the club three years to get to the highest standard from when they were awarded the “Standard” award followed by last year’s “Development” award.

Stewart Regan, chief executive of the SFA presented the award and thanked all the club’s staff and players for all their hard work and said the club are at a level where clubs going through the quality mark process should aspire to reach.

As an SFA community club they were also presented with the an SFA Community Club flag, which should be flown from your premises, so they are now in discussion with Glasgow City Council for this to happen at Greenfield before the move to their own facility.

The club have also renewed its kit sponsorship with Adidas who will supply, Tracksuits, polo tops and match balls.

If you are interested in playing at senior or under 11s, 13s, 15s or 17s please apply online at the club’s website www.glasgowgirlsfc.com.

The club would like to thank all the coaches, volunteers and players for all their help in getting the club to this standard.

SWFitba would like to wish the girls the very best for the future and offer our gratitude for them sharing this news with us.
